Bad News For Houston Texans as Star DE is Going on Injured Reserve, Set to Miss 4-6 Weeks
One of the Texans’ defensive players won’t be available for at least the next four weeks. For at least the next month, the Houston Texans will be without one of their premier pass rushers. Jonathan Greenard, a defensive starter for the Houston Texans, was ruled out on Friday due to injury for the second straight game. Adam Schefter of ESPN broke some terrible Texans news early on Saturday. After sustaining a calf injury during practice this week, Greenard is being placed on injured reserve.
Week Five had already been missed by Greenard due to an ankle ailment. He has 1.5 sacks and five tackles for loss in four games this season. Greenard led the Texans in 2021 with 8.0 sacks.

Jonathan Greenard set to be out for 4-6 weeks from Houston Texans
In 2021, the third-round pick from 2020 became well known. Greenard ended with 33 tackles, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles in 12 starts for Houston. He has accumulated 1.5 sacks and five tackles for loss in four games this season.

The 25-year-old previously performed significantly better, coming in at number eleven in 2021. The incident occurred on Thursday during practice for Greenard. He was ruled out of the Friday practice and will not play against the Raiders on Sunday. The earliest Greenard may possibly return, based on Schefter’s timeframe, is late November. Tomorrow afternoon, the 1-3-1 Houston Texans play the 1-4 Las Vegas Raiders and Greenard will be dearly missed.
